In the remote reaches of Arsi Zone, Oromia, lies the Aseko Health Center. Here, dedicated medical professionals like Mr. Melesa Adis face a unique challenge: overcoming geographical barriers to deliver quality healthcare.

Home deliveries were all too common, placing mothers and newborns at risk. One such case involved a 35-year-old mother who arrived at the center bleeding after a home birth. While the team saved her life, they knew that this wasn't an isolated incident. To address this challenge, the Aseko HC team took a proactive approach by bringing health education, checkups, and even ultrasounds directly to the community at the kebele level, through collaboration with health extension workers.
